About Me

From a young age, I watched my mother dabble in portrait photography and took an interest in her work. It was a little later in life that I finally bought a camera and started to pursue my own passion in photography. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with an array of photographers from around the world and they’ve each taught me something different within the art of photography. From hiking a volcano in Guatemala alongside an award-winning photographer from the Netherlands, all the way to working amongst talented documentary photographers throughout Southeast Asia, I’ve learned all about the art of great storytelling.

It was when I worked alongside an accomplished photojournalist in Alaska that I began to fully understand what storytelling was truly about. Watching this individual's creativity and passion for storytelling was inspiring; that’s when I truly developed a passion for capturing moments and telling the story of the people in them.  It has been a humbling experience to work amongst so many talents professionals and they’ve each instilled a drive in me to "capture that perfect moment;” it is with this drive that I strive to photograph the authentic emotion and energy of your wedding day.

This brings me to my next point: WEDDINGS ARE FREAKING AWESOME! They’re always filled with excitement and sincere connections around every corner. People will sometimes ask how I can enjoy working in such a fast-paced and demanding environment, but my response is simply how can you not!? I thrive off of other people’s energy and when you literally work in an industry built on joyous occasions, it’s easy to get addicted to it.

When I’m not photographing weddings I can be found playing volleyball, canoeing in Alaska (my other job outside of photography), or searching the web for my next plane ticket (because who doesn’t love to travel, right?).

I love pizza, hiking, and scuba diving. I can skip a rock across a lake like a champ and I thoroughly enjoy sushi, especially when its all-you-can-eat! I’m a firm believer I’m one of the best drivers on the road (regardless what my friends might say) and I’m one of the main reasons the Office is still trending on Netflix.
